Ramzy Bensaadi was born in 1981 in Algeria. He started documenting his country when he returned from a work experience in the UAE as a cabin crew in the airline industry. He used to take photos of places he travelled to as a way of recording what he discovered in order to share those moments with his friends and family back home. When looking for photography about his country he realized there were very few projects available online, which led him to start making images of his hometown upon his return. Ramzy Bensaadi is a member of collective 220, an Algerian photography collective.
