The Place of Perpetual Undulation is set in Ras Al Khaimah valleys, an emirate in the northern part of the United Arab Emirates. This series gives voice to the landscape there, to the mountains. Their voice is shaped by interactions with the living. The series also looks at the patterns that underlie the spaces they occupy.
يتخّذ "مكان التموج السرمدي" منطلقه من وديان رأس الخيمة، الإمارة الواقعة في الطرف الشمالي من دولة الإمارات. تمنح هذه السلسلة الصوت للمشهد الطبيعي وللجبال هناك. أصوات تتشكّل من التّفاعل مع الأحياء. تركّز السلسلة كذلك على الأنساق التي يتشكّل وفقها الفضاء المسكون بتلك الجبال.

Reem Falaknaz is a photographer and a producer/director from the United Arab Emirates. Through capturing video, audio, and still images, she engages in endless conversations with her subjects, explores her surroundings and attempts to communicate the stories she collects. In 2013 Falaknaz was a fellow with FIND, New York University Abu Dhabi. She is currently a participant in the Salama Bint Hamdan Emerging Artist Fellowship program. Email
